World Tour Guide Day
On Saturday , March 2, 2024, the Association of Tourist Guides of Novi Sad traditionally celebrates the World Day of Tourist Guides. The International Federation of Associations of Tourist Guides, based in Vienna, established this day in 1990 and since then it has been celebrated every year, with a theme related to the World Tourism Day.
Therefore, the Association of Tourist Guides of Novi Sad organizes four free tourist tours this year for Guide Day:
1. Petrovaradin Fortress - meeting at the Clock Tower at 11 a.m.
2. NEOPLANTA - meeting at 1 pm at the Porodica monument.
3. Love history of Novi Sad - meeting at 1 pm on Freedom Square.
4. Famous women from Novi Sad - meeting at 1 p.m. on Freedom Square.
As every year, this is an opportunity to meet for the Day of Tourist Guides, come to socialize and enjoy the beautiful stories and beauty of our city.
City Day
The Tourist Organization of the City of Novi Sad, together with cultural institutions and the Association of Tourist Guides of Novi Sad, and on the occasion of the City Day, organizes wide open doors on February 4 and 5, when all interested Novi Sad citizens and their guests will be able to see exhibitions such as "Mileva: we are a rock ", "Tambura tradition in Vojvodina", but also permanent exhibitions of numerous cultural institutions, and familiarization with all lesser-known stories about the old city center and the Petrovaradin fortress will be organized through tourist tours accompanied by licensed guides. All activities scheduled for those dates are completely free.
Tourist tours will be in Serbian, registration for city and fortress tours is mandatory, and all interested parties can register on the website Tourist organizations of the City of Novi Sad.
